1. Introduction

UNSTAGED ("we," "our," or "us") is a wedding planning application developed by West Design Lab. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

UNSTAGED is available as an iOS app and a web application at unstaged.se. This policy applies to both platforms.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address (used for sign-in and account recovery)
• Display name (optional)

Wedding Planning Data

Content you create within the app is stored to provide the service:

• Wedding vision text, vibe words, and color palettes
• Moodboard images you upload
• Planning decisions, to-do lists, and vendor information
• Timeline entries and shot list items
• Style quiz results
• Wedding deck configuration

Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (web) and Apple (iOS). We never see or store your full credit card number. Payment processors may collect billing details such as card number, expiration date, and billing address directly.

Automatically Collected Data

We may automatically collect:

• Anonymous usage analytics (screen views, feature engagement, session duration)
• Crash reports and diagnostic data
• Device type and operating system version
• IP address (temporarily, for security and server logs)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the UNSTAGED service
• Sync your wedding planning data across devices
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send essential account-related notifications (e.g., trial expiry, payment issues)
• Identify and fix bugs through crash reporting
• Understand usage patterns to improve the product (anonymized analytics only)

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your wedding planning data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). Our web application is hosted on European servers via Coolify/Hetzner.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated users, and secure payment processing via Stripe and Apple.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in these limited cases:

• Service providers: Firebase (data storage), Stripe (payments), RevenueCat (iOS subscriptions) — only as needed to provide the service
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or legal process
• Couple sharing: If you share a wedding account with your partner, both users can access the shared wedding data

7. Advertising & Tracking

UNSTAGED does not display ads within the app. We use the Facebook (Meta) SDK for install attribution and ad campaign measurement only — this helps us understand which ads lead to downloads. We do not use retargeting pixels, and we do not share your personal wedding data with advertisers or ad networks.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored by us
• Export your wedding planning data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of analytics via your device settings
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

9. Children's Privacy

UNSTAGED is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible should you choose to re-subscribe. If you delete your account, all associated personal data and wedding planning content will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
