Most couples already use ChatGPT for the wedding: a toast outline, a packing list, a sensible word on whether a cash bar is rude. What it cannot do on its own is see the plan, so every useful question starts with a paste. Add your wedding to ChatGPT as a connection and the paste goes away. It reads the budget, the guest list and the vendors where you keep them, and with your permission writes back.
Setting it up

Open Plugins in ChatGPT's sidebar
Choose Add, then Create a custom MCP server.
Name it UNSTAGED and paste the address
The address is https://unstaged.se/api/mcp. Leave authentication on OAuth.
Confirm you trust the server
ChatGPT shows this warning for every server you add yourself. Tick the box and create it.
Sign in and choose what it may read and edit
On the UNSTAGED page that opens, with the same sign-in as in the app.

Every balance and due date, from your budget, in one reply.
“Here is the caterer's email. Add the quote and tell me what is not included.”
The total on the right line, and the service charge you would otherwise have missed.
“Which vendors have we not booked yet?”
From your vendor list, with the ones that book up first at the top if you ask it to.
“Add my aunt's list to the guests, on my side.”
Paste it in any format.
“Draft a timeline for the day from our schedule.”
A first version to argue with, built on your ceremony time and your venue.
The test of a wedding assistant is simple: can it answer “what is left to pay” without you pasting anything? If not, it is a search engine.
Keep it shared
The weakness of planning in a chat is that a chat belongs to one person. If one of you asks ChatGPT to rework the budget and the answer stays in their history, the other person is planning a different wedding. Connected, the change happens in the shared plan, and your partner sees it on their phone. They can connect their own ChatGPT or Claude to the same wedding, with their own permissions.
Two habits that keep it honest: ask it to tell you what it changed after every edit, and keep the decisions that are taste rather than admin, the flowers, the music, every word of the vows, between the two of you.
